Nikah and walima are two invitations, usually to two guest lists

The nikah is often small and at a masjid or at home. The walima is the larger reception, frequently on a different day and hosted by the groom's family. A printed card has to choose one or print two versions.

Here they are separate events on the same invite, each with its own time and venue. You can send the same link to everyone and let each guest see the whole picture, or simply list only the event you are inviting them to.

• Mangni or engagement
• Mehndi or manjha, usually the evening before
• Nikah, with the exact time and the masjid or venue
• Walima, the reception hosted after the nikah

Wording, in Urdu or in English

Most families open with Bismillah ir Rahman ir Raheem and close with a request for duas. Both are lines you write yourself, so nothing is assumed on your behalf.

You can write the whole invitation in Urdu script if that is what your family reads. The invite shows exactly the text you type, on any phone, with no font to install.

Photographs are optional

Many families would rather not put photographs of the bride on an invitation that gets forwarded. Every photo slot on a design is optional, and a design with no photos filled in does not leave a gap where one should be, it simply closes up.

That is a deliberate design rule here, not a workaround. An empty slot never renders.
